Becontree Medical Centre, in Becontree Avenue, Dagenham is now under new management.
The management of the practice is changing with immediate effect because Dr Goriparthi has made the decision to hand back the contract for delivering services at the surgery.
Following a recent inspection at the practice the Care Quality Commission (CQC) has rated the surgery as Inadequate, instructing the practice to make a number of improvements.
To ensure that patients have access to high-quality care, services at the surgery will temporarily be provided by Broad Street Medical Centre until further notice while the future of the practice can be decided. We will work closely with the Broad Street team on an action plan to address the concerns raised by the CQC as quickly as possible.
Patients can still see a GP or practice nurse at their normal surgery in Becontree Avenue when they need to, so should continue to book and attend appointments as usual. However, they can also register with another practice should they choose to do so.
