Foot health services

Foot health services, also known as podiatry services, provide support to people with conditions affecting their feet and lower limbs. 

This may be because of a short-term injury, such as an ingrowing toenail, or because of a long-term condition such as diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, or peripheral arterial disease. 

The service can provide support for a wide range of common and complex conditions affecting your feet or lower limbs, including:

• Ulcers
• Blisters and sores
• Infected wounds
• Inflamed ingrowing toenails
• Nerve damage that can cause pain, numbness or weakness in the feet or lower limbs
• Foot and toe deformities, such as bunions and hammer toes
• Complications caused by a long-term condition like diabetes, peripheral arterial disease, rheumatoid arthritis

They can also provide support with managing your foot health if you or someone you love has dementia, a serious mental health condition or a learning difficulty.
