We are deeply saddened and shocked by the news that the statue of Mary Seacole in Westminster has been vandalised and we deplore these actions of a small number of people.
Across north east London we have many BAME nurses and international nurses in our workforce who are enormously important and highly valued.
We are clear there is no place for any behaviour which seeks to turn on parts of our community and stir up hatred.
