London bus programme in Hackney shortlisted for HSJ Partnership Awards

Change Please Foundation / Driving for Change, a programme partnered with ELFT and the North East London Health & Care Partnership (NELHCP), has been shortlisted in the Primary Care Project of the Year of the HSJ Partnership Awards 2023.

Driving for Change, which uses refurbished London buses to provide an all-in-one direct intervention service for people experiencing homelessness in London, is being recognised for its ground-breaking initiative in Hackney which offers mobile, informal, welcoming and open access for some of the most vulnerable members of society.

“I am incredibly proud to see recognition by the HSJ for a partnership programme making a fundamental difference to the communities we serve,” said Dr Mohit Venkataram, the Trust’s Director of Commercial Development. “Driving for Change is the first of its kind and a tremendously exciting model that is giving people experiencing homelessness pathways to potentially life-saving key services and centralised support.”

The HSJ Partnership Awards celebrate the crucial contributions of the private and third sector in strengthening the UK’s healthcare system. The awards will be held on Thursday 23 March 2023 at Evolution London.
