Made In Hackney is having its first-ever fundraising “Veg Dash” on Saturday 15 October 2022 at 11am to raise money for vital community meals this winter. Teams – which can be made up of colleagues, friends and family – are invited to take part in the 10-stop hunt around Hackney looking for fruit and vegetable-themed locations.
There is no pressure to run the course as prizes will be given away (including a dinner for 10 cooked by our very own Sareta Puri) for best fruit & veg costumes, most amount fundraised, as well as first team back.
Teams can be up to 10 people (the hope is for at least 20 teams to sign up) to help spread the load. Made In Hackney’s fundraising goal is for 10,000 meals (£20,000). Children are welcome to be part of your team and there will be a shorter route on offer for teams with lots of children. There are no hidden registration fees and no minimum amount to fundraise.
The start/end point is at Made In Hackney cookery school, Liberty Hall, 128 Clapton Commons, London, E5 9AA. It is expected everyone will finish by 1-2pm.
