Louise Ashley has been appointed the new Chief Executive of Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and Place-based Leader of the City & Hackney Health and Care Partnership. Louise replaces Tracey Fletcher who left the Trust in March 2022 for the Trust CEO position in East Kent.
Louise is currently the Chief Executive of Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust in Kent. During the four years she has been in this role, the Trust went from a CQC rating of ‘requires improvement’ to ‘good.’
Louise’s professional history includes holding the Chief Operating Officer/Chief Nurse at Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust (2013-2018) and working as the Senior Nurse for Children’s Services and Assistant Director of Nursing at Homerton (1997-2000). She returned to Homerton in 2012 to lead on developing the improvement of patient experience.
“Homerton Healthcare has a tremendous reputation both within its local communities and throughout the NHS. Tracey is a superb CEO and a tough act to follow, but I shall make it my priority to ensure that this reputation for quality and excellence is maintained,” Louise said.
Louise Ashley will begin this new role in autumn.
