To mark National Grief Awareness Week (2-8 December), the Grief Awareness Trust is highlighting the support available to those who are bereaving.
The theme of this year’s activity is normalising grief and getting people to talk about it. The hope is that by breaking the taboo around speaking about death, grief can become an easier topic to discuss. The Good Grief Trust have approximately 800 support organisations and groups, including many in and around north east London, offering tailored help and support for bereavement.
NHS North East London is working with health and care partners across north east London to develop our ambition and priorities for palliative and end of life care across the area. We will involve our communities in this work, including those at the end of life, their families and carers, to deliver person-centred, equitable, coordinated care for those approaching the end of their lives.
