Zina Etheridge joined north east London as the Chief Executive Officer Designate of the Integrated Care Board and North East London Health and Care Partnership – the integrated care system for north east London – in February 2022. This role will lead NHS North East London CCG until it is disestablished in July 2022.
Prior to this, Zina was the Chief Executive of the London Borough of Haringey since February 2017, having previously been Deputy Chief Executive with responsibility for people services and a number of corporate services. Zina led Haringey on a change journey to improve services for local residents, tackle inequalities and place the council’s values at the core of everything it does. She also led a focus on tackling youth violence, through a holistic approach to supporting young people and improving community safety.
Zina represented the five boroughs of north central London in working with health partners at an integrated care system level, and was Chair of London Councils’ Chief Executives Network for two and a half years, including leading on the coordination of the London local government response to the Covid-19 pandemic. She was previously London Councils’ lead advisor for children’s services and Chair of the London Safeguarding Children’s Board.
Before joining Haringey Council, Zina was Assistant Chief Executive at the London Borough of Barnet, and held a range of positions in the Civil Service, including Executive Director for Civil Service Reform in the Cabinet Office and Director of Strategy and Communications in the Department of Innovation, Universities and Skills.
