If you’re interested in joining the People’s Panel you can sign-up for our monthly newsletter to find out about opportunities to take part. On this page you can hear from our members on why the take part and how it helps them contribute to health and care in their community.

Improving the accessibility of services

“Accessibility of services is extremely important to me and I feel that as a disabled individual it is important to have my voice heard. It is essential that disabled people feed into making services more accessible. It is an opportunity to shape future services with accessibility in mind at the start.”

Putting patients first

“As a local resident who uses health services I should have an input on how the services are commissioned. I also have parents who do not read or write any language and are not digitally literate, I want to be able to navigate it for people like them.”

“I have been an NHS 'user' for many years and having experienced the procedures and front line services pre-Covid, during Covid and post-Covid I am passionate about restoring a 'patient-centred' NHS as much as is possible within an understanding of the stringent budge limitations currently upon you all.”

Getting your needs heard

“As an older person I am a big user of health services so I have knowledge of what works and what doesn't. If I see something that could be done better or cheaper I want to be able to tell someone who will listen.”

Making a difference in your community

“It’s a privilege to be able to get involved in improving our local healthcare services. I never would have found out about some of the opportunities that are shared in the newsletter, so thank you!”

“It’s of the utmost importance to voice our concerns about health care and involving people is a great way to be involved and be part of the decision making process”
