Waltham Forest: Community Food Share at Holy Trinity, Leytonstone

December 10 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

At the Holy Trinity community food share, all are welcome, no referral needed. No questions asked.

Visit our free drop-in clinic, where the flu and COVID-19 vaccines are available on the day with no appointment needed. You do not need to be registered with a GP. If you are unsure about having the vaccine, GPs and other health professionals are available on the day to answer any questions you have.

A vaccine helps give you good protection from becoming seriously ill or needing to go to hospital if you catch COVID-19. Seasonal vaccines are offered because viruses change, and protection fades over time. Some people may be eligible for both the flu and the COVID-19 booster vaccines. If you are offered both vaccines, it’s safe to have them at the same time.

You can have a vaccine if you are:

  • are aged 65 or over (including those who will be 65 by 31 March 2025)
  • are aged 6 months to 64 years and have an increased risk of getting seriously ill from COVID-19 because of a health condition or treatment
  • have certain long-term health conditions
  • pregnant
  • live in a care home, are the main carer for an older or disabled person, or receive a carer’s allowance
  • live with someone who has a weakened immune system
  • Frontline health and social care workers can also get a flu vaccine through their employer.

You can also get the following health and wellbeing checks:

  • Health checks
  • Blood pressure checks
  • Blood glucose checks
  • BMI checks / weight management conversations
  • Help with quitting smoking
  • Health & wellbeing conversations (eg alcohol, mental health)
  • Cancer awareness

If you are clinically vulnerable, or over 65 years old, you can also arrange your flu vaccine at the event.
