Hackney: Pre-Hanukkah Celebration

Join us for a celebratory get-together in advance of the Jewish festival of Hanukkah.
This free event is for everyone and will include traditional music and food. Whether you want to celebrate in the presence of family, friends and community, or learn more about Hanukkah.

Visit our free drop-in clinic, where the flu and COVID-19 vaccines are available on the day with no appointment needed. You do not need to be registered with a GP. If you are unsure about having the vaccine, GPs and other health professionals are available on the day to answer any questions you have.

A vaccine helps give you good protection from becoming seriously ill or needing to go to hospital if you catch COVID-19. Seasonal vaccines are offered because viruses change, and protection fades over time. Some people may be eligible for both the flu and the COVID-19 booster vaccines. If you are offered both vaccines, it’s safe to have them at the same time.

You can have a vaccine if you are:

• are aged 65 or over (including those who will be 65 by 31 March 2025)
• are aged 6 months to 64 years and have an increased risk of getting seriously ill from COVID-19 because of a health condition or treatment
• have certain long-term health conditions
• pregnant
• live in a care home, are the main carer for an older or disabled person, or receive a carer’s allowance
• live with someone who has a weakened immune system
• Frontline health and social care workers can also get a flu vaccine through their employer.
