Barking & Dagenham: Community Health and Wellbeing at Barking Learning Centre
February 22 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Visit our free drop-in clinic, where the flu vaccine is available for eligible patients and our medical team is on hand to discuss general healthcare and vaccine concerns.
- You do not need to be registered with a GP.
- you do not need to have an NHS number.
A quick chat: If you are unsure about having the vaccine, GPs and other health professionals are available on the day to answer any questions you have.
A vaccine helps give you good protection from becoming seriously ill or needing to go to hospital if you catch the flu this winter. Seasonal vaccines are offered because viruses change, and protection fades over time.
You can have a flu vaccine if you are:
- aged 65 or over (including those who will be 65 by 31 March 2025)
- aged 6 months to 64 years and have an increased risk of getting seriously ill from the flu because of a health condition or treatment
- pregnant
- a child aged 2 or 3 years on 31 August 2024
- a primary school aged child (from Reception to year 6)
- a secondary school aged child (from Year 7 to Year 11)
You can also get the following health and wellbeing checks at this event:
- Health checks
- Blood pressure checks
- Blood glucose checks
- BMI checks / weight management conversations
- Help with quitting smoking
- Health & wellbeing conversations (e.g. alcohol, mental health)
- Cancer awareness
