Strategic Commissioning Plan
Our Strategic Commissioning Plan outlines our vision and approach to delivering high-quality healthcare services for people across north east London. It sets out how we will improve care, outcomes and population health over the next five years.
The plan explains how we will use our funding and resources to deliver sustainable, effective NHS services locally. It highlights our commissioning priorities and intentions, showing how services will be developed, improved and transformed in partnership with local communities, providers and system partners.
We are committed to reviewing and updating our commissioning plans every year to ensure they continue to meet the evolving needs of our population.
Supporting the North East London System Strategy
The Strategic Commissioning Plan supports delivery of the wider North East London System Strategy, which sets an ambitious direction for health and care across the region. Our shared goal is to improve population health outcomes while reducing health inequalities.
The strategy is shaped by resident-led success measures and the Good Care Framework. It focuses on delivering three key national priorities:
- Moving care from hospitals into community settings
- Expanding digital healthcare and reducing reliance on analogue systems
- Shifting from treatment to prevention to improve long-term health outcomes
Through this approach, we aim to create a more accessible, equitable and sustainable health and care system for all residents in north east London.
