Hackney Museum displays life during Covid-19 lockdown

Covid-19 lockdown. The showcase includes artwork, photographs and personal objects provided by locals.

We Are All In This Together: Hackney During the Pandemic opened on Thursday, 24 March 2022. It documents life in the borough of Hackney not only from the point of view of the residents, but of community organisations. There are also sections that highlight a first-time mother, a clinically vulnerable person shielding at home and how those in Hackney supported NHS staff and other frontline workers.

The Covid-19 pandemic brought a halt to every-day operations around the world in 2020. UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced a nationwide lockdown on Monday, 23 March 2020. Most measures were lifted on Monday, 17 May 2021.

Hackney Museum will host an event on Thursday, 19 May 2022 to thank those who helped shape the exhibition. Visit Eventbrite to book a free ticket.

We Are All In This Together: Hackney During the Pandemic runs until Saturday, 4 June 2022 and is free to visit.
